About The Exhibition
Background
Recently, the whole world has experienced how a miniscule Corona virus has shaken the world. But such pandemics are not new to humankind. The COVID-19 pandemic engulfed the entire world within a very short period of time with an outrageous mortality rate, thereby severely disrupting life. The exhibition tells the story of the global effort to find new ways to develop vaccines at pandemic speed and looks at vaccinations more broadly from a historical and contemporary perspective. The exhibition sets out the scientific principles underlying a vaccine’s creation and efficacy while capturing the behind-the-scenes work that accompanies their rapid development, production, transport, and delivery for mass vaccination.
Purpose
The exhibition intends to help people understand what is underpinning the current work to hunt for a vaccine for COVID-19 and other diseases, and the content must educate, inform, and enable audiences to make choices after visiting the exhibition.
